Are you an experienced interior designer with a passion for yachts? Then we would like to get in touch with you! We are looking for an Interior Draftsman / Work Planner.

About the job

As an interior draftsman / work planner, you and your colleagues from the project team are responsible for the basis of a yacht, namely the design. Under the guidance of the Discipline Leader Interior, you as a draftsman make the luxurious interiors of superyachts visual. After approval and coordination with the customer, you work out the design into a detailed production drawing that is realized by the other departments.

In order to ensure the production of the interior engineered by you runs smoothly, you maintain close contact with the production department. You notice challenges in the manufacturability of your design, inform the Interior Discipline Leader on time, and make changes in consultation. Eventually you will see your drawings go into production and at some point you will walk past the yacht that you have drawn. How cool is that!

About you

For this role we are looking for someone with the following profile:

• You have a completed MBO education in the direction of interior;
• You have at least 3 years of experience in interior construction, preferably in yacht and shipbuilding;
• You know how to make a 3D drawing and you can work with various drawing programs such as AutoCAD. It’s a bonus when you have experience in Siemens NX, TopSolid'Wood, Imos or Autodesk Inventor;
• You are skilled in making technical furniture drawings (scale 1:1, 1:2, 1:5 1:10);
• You have a broad knowledge of materials;
• You are proactive and social;
• You have spatial and technical insight, with an eye for detail;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language in word and writing.
