About the job

Working as Engineer Outfitting & Plans together with your fellow engineers you are responsible for designing the solutions for doors, hatches, ladders, manholes, shutters, railing and sun protection of the superyacht. The process is not only about the design itself but also the use of materials, the various applicable production techniques, assembly, use, costs, manufacturability and much more, before the solution can be taken into production. As Engineer Outfitting & Plans you are supposed to take all this factors under consideration to ensure a coordinated, integrated, high-quality final design.

About you

As a suitable candidate you match following requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture (or similar)
  • Several years of experience with different parts of the construction process in ship / yacht building
  • Knowledge of production techniques and experience with manufacturability of parts to be engineered
  • Knowledge of high-quality materials and finishing levels
  • Very good command of English language
  • Fluency within the CAD drawing environment; affinity with Solid Edge,  NX and Team Centre
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations such as Lloyd's, Solas and Large Yacht Code (as extra)
